3-Hydroxymethyl-?-carboline antagonizes the anxiolytic and anticonvulsant actions of Diazepam and reverses the sedative action of Flurazepam. 3-Hydroxymethyl-?-carboline also antagonizes the cerebrovascular and cerebral metabolic depression produced by Flurazepam.
