A-30312 can enhance the cytotoxicity of antitumor compounds in multidrug-resistant cells, increase the accumulation of compounds in cells, inhibit the efflux of compounds, and compared with calcium antagonists, it has no serious hypotensive effect. Its activity may be unrelated to the ability to block calcium transport.
