Description
Acetone oxime by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is high grade reagent. Also known as acetoxime, this organic compound is the simplest ketoxime found. This reagent is available as a white crystalline powder which is soluble in water, ethanol, ether, chloroform, and ligroin. Acetoxime has a melting point of 60 to 63 C, and a boiling point of 135 C. This compound is synthesized by the condensation reaction of acetone and hydroxylamine in the presence of HCl. A secondary synthesis method involves the ammoxidation of acetone in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. Product Features: Molecular formula: C3H7NO Molecular weight: 73.09 Assay: minimum 99 % Acetone oxime has a wide range of applications in various sectors. This compound is widely used as an excellent corrosion inhibitor (de-oxidant) with a lower toxicity and greater stability when compared to the common agent hydrazine. Acetone oxime is also employed in the determination of ketones, cobalt, and in organic synthesis. Product Specifications: CAS No. 127-06-0 Quantity Provided: 10 gm per pack
