Actiphenol is an antibiotic against coxsackievirus B3 and influenza A virus IC50s = 14.37 and 34.4 AAasAasAAmug/mL, respectively . Actiphenol is also an aromatic ketone that exhibits weak eukaryotic translation inhibiton activity, which is found in Streptomyces species. Actiphenol can be used as a key intermediate to synthesize Cycloheximide HY-12320 .
