Description
Amberlite IR 120 by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Amberlite is the trade name for ion-exchange resins used in chromatography. Ion-exchange resins are an insoluble matrix which act as a medium for ion exchange. This gel matrix is made of styrene-divinylbenzene which shows a cross-linkage of 8 %. CAS No. 63182-08-1 Quantity provided: 500 gm per pack Cationic resin - Na+ form 20 - 50 mesh particle size Amberlite IR 120 has a wide range of applications in chemical and biological industries. This ion-exchange matrix is suitable as a separation medium for TLC, paper chromatography and LPLC. Its strongly acidic cation exchange property makes it efficient in de-calcification. It may be used in applications for the recovery of toxic metals. Generally, such ion-exchange resins are used in the softening of water, replacing the magnesium and calcium ions found in hard water with sodium ions. It may also be used in the manufacture of sugar and pharmaceuticals, and purification of juice. These reagents are suitable for industrial and research applications.
