Description

ARL13-B is a small GTPase belonging to the class of Arf/Arl family within the Ras superfamily of small GTPases involved in diverse cellular functions. The encoded protein is a small GTPase that contains both N-terminal and C-terminal guanine nucleotide-binding motifs and mutations in this gene leads to the classical form of Joubert Syndrome. Since ARL-13B is linked to a wide range of ciliary processes, this cell line could be helpful to study various processess related to cilium formation, function and transport.
