Description
The ATG4A/B/C Stable Triple Knockout HeLa Cell Line has been meticulously developed using CRISPR-Cas9 technology to knock out the ATG4A, ATG4B, and ATG4C genes. This cell line presents a near-complete blockade of LC3 and GABA type A receptor-associated protein GABARAP lipidation, severely compromising autophagic activity. The triple knockout model provides a critical tool for studying the minimal autophagic machinery required for cell survival and the roles of individual ATG4 isoforms in autophagy. It is particularly useful for investigating alternative autophagic pathways, the importance of ATG4 isoforms in cell viability, and the potential therapeutic targeting of autophagy in diseases.
