Description
Benzidine by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Also known as 1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine, this organic compound is an aromatic amine. This reagent is available as a powder which is slightly soluble in water. It has a melting point of 122 to 125 C, and a boiling point of 400 C. While this reagent is stable under general conditions, it is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. Benzidine is usually prepared in a two-step process from nitrobenzene.
