Use to solubilize non-polar compounds such as fatty acids, lipids and cholesterol. Reported useful for the selective precipitation of enantiomeric, positional or structural isomersbeta-Cyclodextrin is used with dansyl chloride to form water-soluble complexes for fluorescent labeling of proteins.
