It contains an azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition CuAAc with molecules containing alkyne groups. It can also undergo ring strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition SPAAC with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
