Bismuth sulphate by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Also known as bismuth (III) sulphate, this is an inorganic compound of bismuth. The reagent is available as a powder which is soluble in acid, however insoluble in water and ethanol. It has a melting point of 405 C. Bismuth sulphate can be obtained by dissolving bismuth trioxide, bismuth trisulphide or bismuth nitrate in excess of concentrated sulphuric acid. While this reagent is stable under general conditions, it is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, hence must be stored carefully.
