The c-Kit/K642E -expressing Ba/F3 cells with GNNK- isoform has a substitution of the lysine residue at position 642 to glutamic acid. The cells are resistant to Imatinib Gleevec , an inhibitor of the c-Kit juxtamembrane mutations.
