Description
The Canine Transitional Cell Carcinoma Cell Line KU-CTCC-001, derived from a 10-year-old Jindo dog diagnosed with TCC, exhibits a BRAF V595E mutation, a counterpart to the human V600E mutation, indicative of its potential as a therapeutic target. This cell line shows robust MAPK pathway activation and is characterized by its fast proliferation rate in vitro, with a doubling time of approximately 17.7 hours. KU-CTCC-001 cells demonstrate significant tumorigenicity in xenograft mouse models and respond with greater sensitivity to sorafenib compared to vemurafenib, suggesting a valuable model for BRAF/MAPK pathway inhibitor studies and canine cancer research. Note: Compared to KU-CTCC-002 Cat. T8166 and KU-CTCC-001-LM3 Cat. T8167 , KU-CTCC-001 has a faster in vitro proliferation rate, indicating a potentially higher oncogenic capacity. Unlike KU-CTCC-001-LM3 Cat. T8167 , which is derived from a metastatic lymph node, KU-CTCC-001 Cat. T8165 is derived directly from the primary tumor mass, offering insights into the primary tumors characteristics and behavior. Complete list of cell lines from this panel: Cat.
