Citrullinated LL-37 5cit is a citrullinated LL-37 HY-P1222 peptide. The antiviral and antibacterial effects of Citrullinated LL-37 5cit are significantly reduced compared to native LL-37. Citrullinated LL-37 5cit is unable to reduce LPS-mediated release of TNF-? due to a lack of LPS-binding capacity.
