Clotrimazole is an imidazole derivative and an antifungal compound and a CYP (cytochrome P450) inhibitor. Clotrimazole has been shown to block the intermediate-conductance, IK1 channels (Ca2+ activated K+ channels), in cells such as erythrocytes.
