Conditionally Immortalized Stria Vascularis Cell Line SV-k1 was derived from transgenic mouse which constitutively expresses a temperature-sensitive simian virus 40 T antigen tsA58 . The cells proliferate at 33.0C, and lack the expression of prestin and the voltage dependent potassium channel Isk , but express occulin. These cells are a valuable model for strial capillary basement membrane studies.
