Cupferron reagent solution by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Also known as N-nitroso-N-phenyl hydroxylamine ammonium salt, this reagent is an ammonium salt of N-nitroso-N-phenylhydroxylamine. The reagent is available as a powder which is soluble in water. It has a melting point of 150 to 155 C. Cupferron can be generated from phenylhydroxylamine and an NO+ source. While it is stable under general conditions, this reagent is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
