DMEM/F12, Dulbeccos Modified Eagle Medium:Nutrient Mixture F-12 DMEM / F-12 , or DMEM/F-12 1:1 Medium, is basal medium widely used for the growth of many mammalian cells, such as MDCK, glial cells, fibroblasts, human endothelial cells, and rat fibroblasts. A 1:1 mixture of DMEM and Hams F-12. Supplementation is required, most commonly with 10 % fetal bovine serum FBS for cell culture use, and requires a 5-10 % CO2 environment to maintain physiological pH.
