Description
Ham-1 cells were established from cholangiocarcinoma tissue of Syrian golden hamsters treated with viverrini-infected and N-nitrosodimethylamine known carcinogens . The cell line was highly proliferative and resembled a glandular structure retaining bile ducts. This cell line is useful in vivo and in vitro chemotherapeutic drug testing.
