hPSEN1(D257A) Stably Expressing MEF Psen1/2(-/-) Cell Line

Description

MEF Psen1/2 cells were derived from E8.5 embryos which are neomycin and hygromycin-resistant and were immortalized with SV40 large T antigen via transfection with the pMSSVLT plasmid. Human PSEN1 D257A mutant expression was established through retroviral transduction with pMSCV puro hPSEN1WT plasmid with site directed mutagenesis and stable expression was determined via puromycin selection. PSEN1 Presenilin 1 is a gene of interest in neuropathology and diseases such as Alzheimers disease AD in which patients with an inherited form of the disease carry mutations.
