hPSEN1(WT) Stably Expressing MEF Psen1/2(-/-) Cell Line

MEF Psen1/2 cells were derived from E8.5 embryos which are neomycin and hygromycin-resistant and were immortalized with SV40 large T antigen via transfection with the pMSSVLT plasmid. Human PSEN1 expression was established through retroviral transduction with pMSCV puro hPSEN1WT plasmid and stable expression was determined via puromycin selection. PSEN1 Presenilin 1 is a gene of interest in neuropathology and diseases such as Alzheimers disease AD in which patients with an inherited form of the disease carry mutations.
