Human Cutaneous Angiosarcoma Cell Line (KU-CAS5)

Description

This novel human cutaneous angiosarcoma, KU-CAS5, is derived from scalp primary angiosarcoma tissue. KU-CAS5 shows endothelial cell properties, with cobblestone appearance at confluence. These cells are CD31 positive, display tube forming activity, actively uptake LDL, express vWF, show high levels of adrenergic beta2 receptor, VEGF1 and VEGF2 receptors. STR profiling was used for cell line authentication. These cells have tumorigenic potential in vivo and are suitable for cutaneous angiosarcoma research. Additional cell lines from this panel: Cat.
