Description

Human ?-Defensin 6, a 32-residue cysteine-rich peptide, can inhibit bacterial invasion and contribute to the mucosal immunity. Human ?-Defensin 6 forms ordered self-assembly fibrils and nanonets that surround and entangle bacteria after stochastic binding to bacterial surface proteins. Human ?-Defensin 6 also inhibits C. albicans biofilm formation.
