The Human IFNAR2 Stable Knockout HeLa Cell Line T3981 provides a unique platform for the study of Type I interferon signaling by specifically lacking the IFNAR2 gene. IFNAR2, together with IFNAR1, forms the receptor complex for Type I interferons, initiating a cascade of events leading to immune responses. The absence of IFNAR2 in this cell line eliminates the receptors ability to bind interferons, thereby inhibiting subsequent JAK-STAT signaling and gene expression of ISGs. This cell line is particularly valuable for delineating IFNAR2s specific contributions to the interferon signaling pathway, understanding the redundancy and specificity within the Type I interferon receptor complex, and investigating potential therapeutic avenues in immunology and oncology.
