Immortalized Human Lung Fibroblast - hTERT

Immortalized Human Lung Fibroblast-hTERT cells are derived from WI-38, a well-characterized primary human lung fibroblast line originally isolated from normal fetal lung tissue. These cells have been immortalized through stable expression of human telomerase reverse transcriptase hTERT , enabling prolonged proliferation while maintaining key fibroblast characteristics. Real-time PCR was used to quantify hTERT gene expression in the immortalized cell line, confirming successful immortalization. This cell line is ideal for studying lung biology, fibrosis, cellular aging, and other research applications requiring a stable human fibroblast model.
