Description
The Immortalized Mouse Cardiomyogenic Progenitor Cells are hygromycin-resistant, non-tumorigenic reversibly immortalized cells that have cardiomyocyte-like morphology and have maintained rhythmic beating in culture. It expresses late stem cell markers Oct3/4, Nanog, Sox2 , c-kit, early cardiomyogenic markers ISL-1, Hand2, Sca-1 , and cardiomyocyte-specific markers alpha-actin and alpha-myosin heavy chain . The immortalization process may be reversed by infection with Cre-recombinase expressing adenoviruses Cat. No. 000018A to revert immortal cells back into primary cells resulting in increasing differentiation potential. In the presence of retinoic acid, the cells undergo cardiomyogenesis where late cardiomyogenic markers Actc1 and ANF will be present. Dexamethasone may be used as a differentiation reagent, to express late markers ANF, cTnT, and alpha-MyHC. These cells are recommended for studies relating to cardiomyogenic progenitors in basic and/or translational research. These are hygromycin-resistant, non-tumorigenic reversibly immortalized cells that have cardiomyocyte-like morphology and have maintained rhythmic beating in culture.
