The cells exhibit NF neurofilament and GalC a marker for oligodendroglial lineage markers. OBC1 cells have been shown to form tumors in animal models, hence has the ability to be tumorigenic. It is a valuable in vitro tool for studies relating to the functions and the biology of the olfactory bulb. The cells express resistance to 0.3 mg/ml G418 Cat. No. G271 .
