Description
0824C 00010 is referred as INDIUM OXIDE under Research Lab Fine Chem Industries catalogue. 0824C 00010 INDIUM OXIDE is an amphoteric oxide of indium and is insoluble in water. It exists in two crystal forms: the cubic (bixbyite type) and rhombohedral (corundum type). Indium oxide has a band gap of 3eV and is widely used in the manufacture of semiconducting and magnetic materials with novel properties. Bulk indium oxide may be synthesized by the heating of hydroxide, nitrate, carbonate or sulphate of indium. Indium oxide films are synthesized by sputtering of indium target in argon/oxygen atmosphere. Monocrystalline nanowires in indium oxide have also been synthesized by laser ablation technique. Indium oxide is widely researched in the field of nanotechnology such as in field effect transistors, displays and redox protein sensors. It is also used as a semiconductor material in forming heterojunctions in devices. Thin films of chromium doped indium oxide are used as a magnetic semiconductor which has high-temperature ferromagnetism and also has some applications in spointronics. It is also part of some stain formulations in histology. Specifications: INDIUM OXIDE Whitish Crystalline powder Molecular Weight: 277.63 Molecular Formula: In2O3 Assay: 99.5% CAS No.: 1312-43-2 Pack Size:10gm
