Isoforskolin is the principle active component of C. forskohlii native to China. Isoforskolin reduces the secretion of lipopolysaccharide LPS -induced cytokines, namely TNF-?, IL-1?, IL-6 and IL-8, in human mononuclear leukocytes. Isoforskolin acts as an anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of Lyme arthritis.
