The KU19-19/MMC/GEM cell line is a multidrug-resistant derivative of the human bladder carcinoma line KU19-19, developed through sequential adaptation to mitomycin C MMC followed by gemcitabine GEM exposure. This cell model simulates the chemoresistance observed in advanced or relapsed urothelial carcinoma, making it highly relevant for studying resistance mechanisms and testing alternative treatment strategies.
