L-Histidine monohydrochloride monohydrate is used as a precursor through histidine decarboxylase. It is also used to study the cultures of the human T-lymphoblastic leukemia cell line, modulation of apoptosis. It is also used to enhance the biosynthesis of Lovastatin by cultured aspergillus terreus.
