M199 Medium

Description

M199 Medium, or Medium 199, is a basal medium widely used for the growth of broad species and transformed cells. Cell culture applications of this medium included virology, vaccine production etc. Supplementation may be required dependent on application; most commonly supplemented with 10 % fetal bovine serum FBS for cell culture use, and requires a 5-10 % CO2 environment to maintain physiological pH.
