Miconazole nitrate is nothing but the nitrate salt of miconazole. It is available in the form of white crystalline powder and is hardly soluble in cold water. It is stable if stored as per the recommended conditions. Excessive light, heat or presence of incompatible materials may lead to certain reactions. Miconazole nitrate reacts with alkalis and strong oxidising agents. It is a light sensitive compound and must be stored appropriately.
