mIL39 Cells are derived from primary tumors of the intermediate lobe from POMC-Tag transgenic mice. In contrast to the mIL5 Cells T8006 , they exhibit a bipolar morphology with long and unbranched processes. There is expression of POMC, dopamine D2 receptors, and SV40 Tag observed. mIL39 Cells may be used to study the biology of intermediate lobe tumors.
