MPO-IN-8 is an orally active myeloperoxidase MPO inhibitor. MPO-IN-8 can inhibit the generation of hypochlorous acid in neutrophils and the release of extracellular traps NETosis . In mice with gouty arthritis, MPO-IN-8 can reduce swelling, lower peroxidase activity, and decrease IL-1? levels.
