Description

Monkey neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin NGAL; also called lipocalin 2 orsiderocalin may, by analogy with its homologues in other mammalian species, be releasedfrom activated neutrophils in inflammation or infection, from certain epithelial cancers, andmore dramatically from renal tubular cells in response to ischemic or nephrotoxic injury.
