The Plunger is a component of the Evacuable Potassium Bromide Die 51001144 which is used to form KBr pellets, a common method for preparing solid samples for FT-IR analysis. It forms 13 mm KBr pellets. The Plunger comes with the Evacuable Die, but it can also be ordered separately as a replacement or spare part.
