pmPlum encodes mPlum, a mutant derived from the tetramericDiscosomasp. red fluorescent protein, DsRed. In this vector, the mPlum coding sequence is flanked by MCS regions, making it easy to excise the gene for use in other cloning applications. pmPlum is primarily intended to serve as a source of mPlum cDNA.
