PADI4 is expressed in eosinophils and neutrophils, but it is not expressed in peripheral monocytes or lymphocytes. PADI4 catalyzes the citrullination/deimination of arginine residues of proteins. In addition, PADI4 may play an important role in tumourigenesis.
