Scid.adh cells are spontaneous thymic lymphomas isolated from mice bearing the scid mutation scid mice and adapted to growth in culture. TAC:CD3 stimulation of Scid.adh cells induces physiologically relevant changes in gene expression, making Scid.adh cells an excellent cellular system for investigating the molecular requirements for pre-TCR signaling and associated changes in gene exprssion.
