Sodium iodate by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Also known as Iodic acid, sodium salt, this is the sodium salt of iodic acid. The reagent is available as a white powder which is soluble in water. It has a melting point of 425 C. Sodium iodate can be generated by reacting a sodium-containing base such as sodium hydroxide with iodic acid. While it is stable under general conditions, this reagent is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
