Sodium persulphate by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Also known as Sodium peroxodisulfate, this is the sodium salt of peroxydisulfuric acid. The reagent is available as a white power which is soluble in water. It has a melting point of 180 C at which it decomposes. Sodium persulphate can be generated by the electrolytic oxidation of sodium hydrogen sulphate. While it is stable under general conditions, this reagent is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. Sodium persulphate replaces ammonium persulfate in etching mixtures for zinc and printed circuit boards, and is also used for pickling of copper and some other metals.
