Soporidine

Description

Soporidine is an antagonist of germination of the parasitic plant Striga hermonthica. Soporidine specifically inhibits a S. hermonthica strigolactone receptor and inhibits the parasites germination. Soporidine is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition CuAAc with molecules containing Azide groups.
