Vaseline yellow by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Also known as soft paraffin white and petroleum jelly white, this is a semi-solid mixture of hydrocarbons. This reagent is available as a colourless to yellow cream which is insoluble in water. It has a melting point at approximately 37 C. While it is stable under general conditions, this reagent is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
